CarerHelp celebrates its’ second birthday and reaching 30,000 Australians!
CarerHelp is a platform that provides trustworthy information and resources to Australians who are caring for a family member or friend who has a serious illness and is at the end of life.
In the past 2 years, since it was launched, CarerHelp has helped thousands of Australians provide care for a dying loved one. CarerHelp reached around 10,000 new users in the first year and as of this month has reached 30,000 new users. It continues to reach 1000-2000 new users a month and plans to continue to grow.
CarerHelp is now focused on improving access and reach for diverse populations of Australian carers and is developing resources for culturally and linguistically diverse communities, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, and people who identify as LGBTIQ+.
CarerHelp has factsheets, videos, resources and useful templates that can assist carers in their role. Many of the resources are also useful for health workers, aged care workers, and support workers who may also be involved in caring for a dying person or their family.
